Job Description:
The Event & Marketing Coordinator is tasked with assisting the ILC team in planning upcoming programs and events. The main responsibility of this role is providing support to the Vice President through researching & planning the potential cities, venues and activities for annual events. Other duties will include working with the Graphic Design & Brand Lead on planning & executing marketing initiatives and programs as well as supporting the Business Development Manager through sponsorship & partnership research.
The ideal candidate is driven by thoroughness & precision but can find the event planning balance between steadfast organization and being flexible when needed. This candidate will be focused and have strong written and oral communication skills.
Our Event Coordinator is ILC’s Chameleon: adaptable to handling different situations, astute to detail, open-minded, & socially aware.

Responsibilities include:
● Researching potential ILC event locations, partners, sponsors, members, and attendees
● Outreach including email, phone calls & LinkedIn Messages, to businesses, organizations, & individuals to coordinate event related activities (IE: restaurant reservations, tours, entertainment, event speakers etc)
● Assist in event planning, preparation and execution based on Vice President’s direction
● Assisting with marketing tasks as needed by the Graphic Design & Brand Lead
● Assisting the Business Development Manager as needed to ensure sponsor needs are met at each event
● Traveling to event locations (4 x per year) and coordinating event details on-site based on leadership team’s direction
● Providing in-office & onsite support as needed to sister-company PREC (Philadelphia Real Estate Council) including email communications with members, coordinating venue & event logistics for quarterly meetings & annual golf outing, promoting organizations efforts through social media and ad-hoc administrative tasks

● Knowledge of MS Outlook; MS PowerPoint Presentation software; MS Word Processing software
● Knowledge of Adobe products, Canva, Mailchimp and other design, marketing & communication tools are a benefit
● Existing knowledge about the hospitality industry is a bonus

Benefits:
● Annual Salary $38,000 - $42,000 depending on experience, end of year performance bonus, & annual cost of living raise
● In-person position in Philadelphia (East Falls) Monday through Thursday and remote work on Friday.
