Job Summary:
Daimyo Holdings is seeking a multifaceted and analytical Investment Research Analyst to join our Investment Team based in Irvine, California. The role's responsibilities will be centered around researching and analyzing publicly traded Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Companies with an emphasis on selecting the best Growth Prospects, the most robust Pharmaceutical Pipelines, and identifying companies who's research and potential are undervalued.
Candidates should have 2-3 years minimum experience in equity research by way of private equity, venture capital, or an investment related capacity and must also have a strong background in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare Therapeutics, or similar focuses. Candidates must be able to clearly understand Disease Biology and navigate the intricacies and nuances of the Pharmaceutical Industry. Additionally, they must have experience building in-depth models and presentations which clearly explain early to late stage biotechnology and pharmaceutical products comprehensibly demonstrating their makeup, potential, competitive advantage, and intrinsic value, etc. Being able to articulate why you think the companies are investable or not is crucial and all Investment Summaries must be supported by clear and concise research / supporting evidence.
The role requires research skills, problem solving skills, and thorough critical thinking. Collaboration is desired and encouraged and you will be expected to interface regularly, and to work in concert with external scientists, data specialists, and other medical professionals who's opinions, analysis, and research may be of use. Candidates must be intellectually curious and be able to listen and communicate effectively with our senior investment staff. The role requires an advanced science degree or medical degree.
