Job Description

A well-established manufacturing facility located in Troup County, Georgia is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist to join its team. This role is responsible for delivering and sustaining established EH&S procedures, training efforts, and compliance initiatives to meet regulatory standards and promote a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and maintain EH&S procedures and training programs in alignment with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
• Identify and assess workplace hazards and support the implementation of corrective measures
• Oversee the facility’s environmental management system including coordination of internal and external audits, documentation, and related projects
• Ensure proper compliance with chemical handling, storage, and disposal practices
• Support and conduct accident/incident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of follow-up actions
• Prepare and submit required internal and external reports, ensuring timely communication of relevant data to appropriate stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field preferred
• Internship or hands-on experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety, ideally within a manufacturing setting
• Minimum of 2 years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations, Workers' Compensation, and environmental management systems
• Experience with audits, accident/incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions
