Are you looking for an exciting opportunity during summer to be actively involved in improving an environmental, health, and safety program in a growing manufacturing environment? Our Danfoss Drives facility in Loves Park, Illinois is looking for an intern to support our facility on environmental, health, and safety projects and improvement initiatives. The Environmental, Health, and Safety intern will be responsible for assisting the EHS team in meeting both facility and company-wide objectives.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Conduct environmental, health, and safety inspections and recommend improvements to reduce potential hazards.
· Audit existing environmental, health, and safety programs to verify compliance and effectiveness.
· Conduct machine safety assessments on the production floor and implement improvements.
· Actively participate in monthly health and safety committee meetings and complete assigned action items.
· Update environmental, health, and safety procedures and work instructions
· Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Studies, or other related field
· Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
This is an internship with the Danfoss Drives EHS team, the position pays $22/hr- $25/hr.
