Primary job responsibilities include the following:
  • Ensure Micron's environmental programs and procedures are effective, efficient, and conform to the management system and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in achieving site's sustainability goals by participating in committees and providing feedback to plan, implement, and monitor projects.
  • Be effective at presenting (both written and verbal) environmental matters to Micron Leadership and local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Manage Industrial Wastewater Permit, conduct sampling and prepare self-monitoring reports as required
  • Manage site water rights and associated compliance reporting activities
  • Manage hazardous waste program, schedule shipments, and conduct inspections
  • Conduct applicability determinations on environmental regulations.
  • Perform compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and conformance with ISO14001. Perform training of team members, as necessary.
  • Coordinate, manage, and conduct environmental walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to ensure operations align with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform incident and event follow-up and investigation, determine root cause(s), implement containment action, establish corrective action & preventative action, and verify effectiveness.
  • Collect, evaluate, and communicate environmental-related metrics and performance measurements.
  • Identify, develop, and provide environmental training in accordance with regulations and company & department objectives.
  • Provide customer support and technical expertise for various environmental issues and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement functional, cost effective solutions for environmental issues
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience: Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Environmental-related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years minor and major source air permitting and compliance
  • Familiarity/solid understanding of CAA, RCRA, CERCLA, CWA (NPDES, MSGP, CGP, SPCC) ISO14001
  • Strong data analysis, problem solving, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
