Job Description

Title : Engineering Technician

Location : Greenville, NC

Hours/Schedule : M-F (8-5)

Type : 6-month contract-to-hire

  • You will be on contract with Insight Global for the first 6 months. Upon eligibility, you will be flipped permanent with our client.

Pay Rate : $25-30/hour

Must Haves :

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Geology (open to fresh grad)
  • Clean background and motor vehicle report and able to pass drug test
  • Good communication skills & eager to jump start a career in the engineering/consulting space

Plusses :

  • Co-op or internship in related field
  • Experience in related field (environmental site investigations, site remediation, site assessments, experience managing projects that include field data collection, investigation, and construction/remediation)

Day to Day :

Insight Global is looking for an Environmental Engineer/Scientist for a large engineering consulting firm in Greenville, NC. Day to day responsibilities include the following:

  • Scope and manage Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs and other subsurface investigations to evaluate soil, groundwater and soil vapor.
  • Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project. This may include developing project schedules, budget estimation, selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
  • Design, communicate, and implement a project plan for completing the project.
  • Lead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with approved safety plan.
  • Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Coordinate and direct field personnel, office staff, and subcontractors to complete the project.
  • Partner with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources for the project.
  • Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate with other staff to meet project targets and milestones.
  • Coordinate with accounting for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing and collections.

Contract/Contract-to-Hire Roles:

Compensation:

$25/hr to $40/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
