Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning: Assist in creating test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.

  2. Test Execution: Execute test cases manually to identify defects, bugs, and issues in software applications.

  3. Defect Reporting: Report bugs and issues accurately and in detail using designated bug tracking tools.

  4. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously identified issues have been resolved and do not reappear in subsequent releases.

  5. Test Automation Support: Support senior QA engineers in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.

  6. Documentation: Document test results, findings, and defects in test reports for review by senior team members.

  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues and alignment on quality standards.

  8. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry best practices, testing methodologies, and emerging technologies to enhance testing skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.

  2. Technical Skills:

    • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing concepts.
    • Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
    • Knowledge of testing methodologies such as black-box testing, white-box testing, and regression testing.
    • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus but not required.
  3. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate test results, findings, and defects.

  4. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and ability to meticulously follow test cases and procedures.

  5. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and troubleshoot issues encountered during testing.

  6. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute positively to team goals and objectives.
