Working successfully within a team, the STE (Special Test Equipment) Test Engineer will help design the qualification and testing environments to aide in system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle. Essentially this team develops an emulator to the Space Vehicle which will be used on the ground in support of Acceptance and Qualification testing. This will entail assisting in the following areas: Generation of system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools Development of test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products Development of functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems Design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturing What you’ll experience: Technologies that aren’t just top-notch, they’re often top-secret A team of bold thinkers committed to exploring what’s next Opportunities to gain new knowledge - as it’s discovered What you bring to the table: A bachelor’s degree in in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with some Mechanical Engineering background or experience Willingness to learn test engineering concepts, principles, and theories Forward thinking and self-starter What sets you apart: Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting, and exceeding personal and team commitments Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity Commitment to ongoing professional development Attention to detail and highly organized Familiarity with general test equipment: Power Supplies, Multimeters, Signal Generators, Signal/Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc Specific software applications familiarity: Electrical schematic/board layout software such as Mentor, Cadence, Eagle or KiCad Mechanical CAD software such as CREO, SolidWorks, AutoCAD Microsoft tools suite This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. USD $57,852.00 - USD $78,100.00 /Yr.
