Description: An Electrical Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT 06095. This position will require in-office support, remote is not an option. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have a bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, or aerospace engineering degree and at least two years of experience in industry. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support industry-leading companies solve complex engineering problems in aerospace/defense, space, energy, commercial vehicles, and more. Your scope of work may involve integrating electrical power and process control systems, providing electrical design support to electrical power systems, or developing and assessing bills of materials and for obsolescence. Electrical Engineer job duties:
* Work with customers to define electrical requirements and specifications
* Create 1- and 3-line electrical drawings in CAD software
* Create point-to-point electrical cabinet drawings and cable schedules
* Design and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for process automation and control
* Integrate controls hardware and software in closed-loop systems
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
* 2-5 years of experience
* Demonstrated experience with 1- and 3-line electrical drawings
* Demonstrated experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO, etc)
* Experience in PLC architecture and programming (Siemens, Rockwell, Allen-Bradley)
* Highly energetic, motivated, and adaptable
* Outstanding written and verbal communication
* Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required
Desired but not required skills:
* Experience with assessing or designing products or systems to the National Electric Code (NFPA 70) or other safety and electrical codes
* Experience with PLC-based control systems
* Experience with closed-loop control systems
* Experience with multi-phase electric power systems
* Experience in aerospace, maritime, or other safety-critical industries (desired but not required)
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $90,000-$120,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
