Job Summary:

• Completes all types of electrocardiograms in all areas of the hospital.
• Responds to CRTs and performs EKGs as needed.
• Performs clerical tasks relating to tasks performed by the Cardiovascular Labs, (scheduling, processing reports, recording pertinent information into logs).
• Maintains equipment and keep updated.
• Maintains super user status for Pyramis and Vision Premier.

Reports: Director Cardiovascular Labs, Lead EKG Technician

Supervises: None

Required Education:

• Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent;

Preferred Education:

• Preferred: Vocational/technical school degree (job related)

Required Experience:

• No previous experience is required;

Preferred Experience:

• 1 year of Cardiovascular Lab or cardiac related experience; Knowledge of arrhythmias.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Successful completion of Arrhythmia Course required within first year of employment.
