Job Overview:
The EKG Technician technically correct Electrocardiograms (EKGs) for in and outpatients, to include but not limited to Code BLUE tracings.
Qualifications:
Required:
* High School Diploma
* EKG Certification
* One year experience in EKG studies
* One year in a health care related field, in Hospital or Physician's setting
* Successful completion of all required orientation programs
Essential Functions:
* Explain procedure of test and functions of equipment to patients under going the test
* Maintains a statistical information log of testing and patient information and assists with and assures the completion of clerical work related to the performance of EKG s
* Insures that all charges/credits are entered into the computer system
