Job Details Our ideal candidate has experience on highway and bridge projects throughout NJ with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, DRPA, DRJTBC, and/or experience with Local County and State agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervise and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
Prepare daily reports, quantity measurements and computations, project progress updates and pay reports.
Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship to confirm adherence to contractual and regulatory standards.
Proactively communicate with the contractor and the client to progress the project in a timely manner to meet the project goals.
Job Requirements:
NICET III-IV Certification or Valid Professional Engineers license in the State of New Jersey is required.
EIT or B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction inspection
ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 Preferred.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, plans, and specifications, as well as familiarity with inspection tools and software.
Experience with inspection of Federal-aid projects and relevant certifications is not required but is a plus.
Experience with bridge construction is a plus.
Experience with NJTA Capex or NJDOT Site Manager is not required but is a plus.
Able to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed.
Ability to drive to and from, on, or around a project site during all times of the day.
Strong organization and communication skills.
