We operate a full-service logistics company that proudly employs a team of logistics professionals including truck drivers who operate on a full-time basis as regulated by the DOT.

Job Description

Fiber Reclaim, Inc. is seeking a logistics professional to oversee the daily responsibilities of planning, assigning, and completing loads to a group of truck drivers. This position is primarily M-F 7am-4pm (On-site), but will require after hours and weekend oversight and connectivity (Remotely).

Responsibilities:

Planning

  • Acts as the first point of contact for Customers, Shippers, Receivers and Truck Drivers.
  • Responsible for planning/execution of weekly available loads, assigning them to available drivers based on timing objectives that will optimize a driver’s weekly mileage and hours of service to meet customer needs. Reshuffling as required.
  • Actively foster profitable lane development.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of DOT regulations, proper hours of service, and weight requirements/restrictions for loads and corresponding equipment.
  • Work with freight brokers, choose, and negotiate the highest possible spot market freight rates, on-board and update and complete required load paperwork.

Truck Dispatch

  • Answer inbound calls, resolve concerns and redistribute where needed.
  • Communicate with drivers via dispatch software, email, text, and telephone. Help drivers solve issues preventing them from driving. Delegate issues as required.
  • Work to solve driver maintenance issues as they arise. Direct drivers to our preferred vendor for service.
  • Generate and manage orders to completion in our Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Manage Prophesy software by keeping loads up to date and updating customer and rate databases.
  • Available after hours and on weekends to assist a driver when it is needed. 

General & Administrative

  • Understand/learn safe, legal practices to ensure drivers are operating properly.
  • Ensure drivers understand and are utilizing proper company procedure and policies for things such as insurance/accident claims, workplace injuries, vacation request, sick leave, etc.
  • Schedule the ONP calendar.
  • Recruit and retain drivers.
  • Coach Drivers on better practices, based on feedback from resources (Co-workers, experience, ELD, TMS, HOS, etc.)
  • Reconcile and complete orders on both Driver and customer side to support Bookkeeper.
  • Prepare driver paperwork.
  • Update weekly.
  • Participate in daily/weekly monthly meetings, reviews, and training.
Qualifications

 

  • Preferred 3 years of logistics and or customer service experience.
  • An energetic, hardworking, accountable, and proactive personality is required.
  • Needs to work in dynamic situations with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work within a team to track multiple processes through varying levels of completion once properly trained.
  • Demonstrate high levels of multitasking and time management skills while continually re-prioritizing urgencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experienced organizational and communication abilities; (phone, email, text, spoken, etc.).
  • Strong typing and computer communication skills (Email, Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Work well in a team or individually.
  • Our expectation is for the proper candidate to be observant, self-aware, confident, analytical, efficient worker, driven, motivated, pro-active, reactive, efficient, problem solver, accountable and hold others accountable.
  • Social media, marketing, apps web-based applications experience preferred.

Additional Information

The Customer Service Dispatcher is a salaried, non-exempt position. The pay range is $47k to $54k per year, depending on experience.
