Job Description

Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse is seeking a visionary and analytical Director of Finance to join our dynamic Accounting team. S/He will be a key member of our executive leadership and will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations developing strategic financial plans and ensuring the longterm financial health of the hotel.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of the organizations financial strategy
  • Oversee all financial operations including accounting budgeting financial reporting and treasury management
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decisionmaking issues affecting the organization
  • Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Manage the annual budgeting and planning process
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their financial needs and seek full range of business solutions
  • Ensure compliance with Internal and external Audit financial regulations and standards
  • Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position
  • Develop and implement financial controls and risk management procedures 
  • Lead mentor and develop the Accounting team fostering an inclusive high performing team culture of collaboration and excellence

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field; MBA CPA or CFA certification is a plus
  • 10 years of progressive experience in financial management with at least 5 years in a similar senior leadership Accounting role in a hotel 
  • Extensive experience in strategic financial planning budgeting and analysis
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards
  • Proven track record in managing and developing highperforming finance teams
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a detailoriented approach
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
  • Indepth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong decisionmaking skills and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Visionary mindset with the ability to align financial operations with organizational goals
