Director of Activities – The Commons of Providence

Position Summary
Lead and oversee all aspects of the Activities Department, creating a vibrant, resident-focused program that supports physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while upholding the values of CHI Living Communities: Compassion, Inclusion, Integrity, Excellence, and Collaboration .

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage a diverse calendar of programs and outings, including evenings and weekends


• Supervise and develop Activities staff, fostering teamwork and high-quality service


• Maintain department policies, ensuring compliance and best practices


• Collect feedback, monitor outcomes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation (CTRS preferred), ADC certification, or completion of a 90-hour basic education course


• Two years of recreational or social program experience, preferably in long-term care
