UM Charles Regional Medical Center
RN Diabetes Educator - Full-Time
La Plata, MD 

Under general supervision, plans, implements and evaluates diabetes education programs both for individuals and groups under the supervision of the Director, UM Charles Regional Medical Center.

• Demonstrated knowledge diabetes self-management education and counseling techniques
• Ability to develop, market and instruct diabetes education
• Ability to assess all diabetes programs and services according to objectives
• The ability to ensure the confidentiality and rights of all client/patient, health system and departmental documents is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a current licensure as a Registered Nurse. 
• Current certification by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (CDCES) preferred. Must be able to obtain within 18 months if not currently certified. 
• A minimum of two years’ experience with care of persons with diabetes and diabetes-related illnesses.

Additional Information

• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday mostly dayshift with one evening shift monthly on Tuesdays
