Job Summary: The position will support the Department and Human Resources’ efforts towards implementing policies and procedures focused on scheduling improvements, which includes overseeing the effective use of park labor resources across the departments in order to ensure Six Flags Atlanta is positioned to deliver a superior guest experience and operational excellence. The position will serve as a resource to departments and employees.

  Responsibilities Include:

  • Implement a comprehensive scheduling system focused on improving the scheduling of employees
  • Actively manage labor resources within and across departments to meet labor needs.
  • Actively communicate via phone and email with team members to have availability and personal schedules up to date
  • Monitor in-house labor tracking system to meet labor initiatives.
  • Ensure departmental schedules are completed on a timely basis and optimize the use of available staff.
  • Review and analyze schedules to identify and implement opportunities to gain ongoing improvements in labor optimization tools.
  • Assist in the coordination of in-house temp program to provide employees trained and available to fill staffing gaps.
  • Assist in managing requests for additional hours and time off requests, address situations where employees are under-utilized based on their availability, and monitor the park’s effective use of its budgeted hours.
  • Maintain and analyze relevant staffing data, including but not limited to hire, working, and termination statistics, in order to forecast staffing needs.
  • Ensure all company and departmental policies and procedures are followed, including that 15-year old employees are scheduled in accordance with the Six Flags, State, and Federal policies to ensure compliance
  • All additional duties as assigned.

Payrate: $14/hr

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to work 30-40 hours a week or more, including a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays, etc.) 
  • Previous In-Park Theme Park Experience preferred
  • Proven ability to live the Six Flags Mantra and adhere to all grooming standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is vital to success.
  • Proven ability to use independent judgment and effectively prioritize.
  • Proven ability to positively communicate effectively in English both verbal and written.
  • Proven possession of the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel is critical for success.
  • Proven ability to handle documents, issues, and conversations with extreme confidentiality.
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50lbs with or without assistance.
  • Previous theme park experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Human Resource policies and procedures to include labor laws and wage and hour compliance preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective written communication to include reports, tracking systems, file notes, e-mail correspondence, facsimile correspondence, and other required methods.
  • Ability to maintain objectivity in times of pressure.
