We're seeking reliable, physically capable team members to join our delivery operations in New York. This position combines physical work, customer service, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute residential deliveries as part of a 2-3 person team
- Safely handle and transport heavy furniture and boxes (including items without handles or odd-shaped)
- Navigate multi-story buildings, including walk-ups up to 4-5 flights, when elevator is not accessible
- Operate a 17-foot box truck throughout New York (D-license required)
- Maintain professional communication with clients
- Work collaboratively with team members and customer service department
- Use problem-solving skills to handle delivery challenges
- Utilize provided equipment (dollies, blankets) properly for safe moving
Work Schedule Requirements
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Must be punctual and reliable for warehouse/truck arrival
- Flexibility required for occasional overtime deliveries
- Consistent availability during scheduled hours is essential
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely lift and carry heavy items
- Physical fitness required for multiple-floor deliveries
- Must provide pre-employment physical examination from attending doctor
- Stamina for full-day physical activity
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Driver's License (D-class)
- Clean driving record
- Experience with furniture delivery preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent team player mentality
- Professional demeanor and patience in challenging situations
- Presentable and clean wardrobe
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary range: $60,000-$72,000 (3-month initial period)
- Performance-based salary adjustments available
- Daily meal allowance: $25/day ($125/week)
- All necessary moving equipment provided (dollies, blankets, etc.)
