Job Title: Data Entry Level II
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Duration: 10-12 Weeks
Roles & Responsibilities:
Clerks will be trained by staff to perform a hands-on visual review of original statewide signature sheets submitted on behalf of a statewide petition. Clerks will also perform the data entry/digitizing of the handwritten public voter data provided on every signature sheet submitted for processing (could be around 25,000 sheets total). Digitization/data entry includes using a desktop table scanner to scan and digitize handwritten data on signature sheets, and then the clerk visually compares the original record to the data read by the verification software.
Hard Skill requirements:
*) Must have data entry/key stroke speed of at least 40 WPM
*) Desktop computer – general use knowledge
*) Tabletop document scanner – general use knowledge
*) General knowledge and understanding of working with and handling original public records.
*) Base knowledge of a standard office copier with document scanning functions
*) Physical ability to lift document boxes weighing around 25lbs or more
Soft skill requirements:
*) Punctual and in attendance every day of the project (no prescheduled leaves of absence or appointments of any kind; this is a 10–12-week project and the state is mandated by law to complete the project as quickly and efficiently as possible)
*) Professionalism, respect for others, and administrative office decorum
*) Stays focused on the task at hand for long periods of time.
*) Strong attention to detail
