The Data Clerk's primary function is to enter information into specific fields in our ERP system and ensure Bill of Material (BOM) qualify specification is aligned to the appropriate product description.
Job Duties: - Compiling, sorting, and verifying the accuracy of information before it is entered.
- Locating and correcting errors or reporting them to supervisor.
- Inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard according to screen format.
- Convert data received from various departments into the required format for entry/scanning into our ERP system.
- Create and revise part numbers & bills of materials.
- Reviews new Codes and BOMs to ensure they are complete and accurate prior to releasing them.
- Work closely with engineering, production, sales, marketing, purchasing & customer service.
- Research current hard copy files & vendor websites to acquire item specification sheets.
- Transfer existing hard copy files into pdf formats.
- Continuously keep all bills of materials, PIM's & specification sheets updated regularly.
- Research through current records & online websites to acquire proper part specification sheets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements - Must be able to work 5 days a week 8am-5pm
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Able to navigate the web using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
- Problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Basic computer skills.
