KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. The role impacts national security by designing and optimizing defense systems. Responsibilities include identifying new data sources and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting; collecting customer requirements; determining technical issues; designing algorithms and data manipulation capabilities using R, Python, C++, JavaScript, Go, and other programming languages; building data solutions, tools, and capabilities for self-service data monitoring and reporting; improving data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions; collaborating with Intelligence and Data analysis teams to produce qualitative and quantitative data supporting Intelligence products; and other duties as assigned. Qualifications required include an active TS/SCI with current polygraph, at least 5 years as a Data/Cloud Systems Engineer, a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related quantitative science field, experience with AWS tools (S3, Lambda, EC2, Cloudwatch, etc), Microsoft Azure, developing intelligent algorithms and AI models, preparing and using large data sets for analysis, and generating data exploitation algorithms optimized for Machine Learning models. Desired qualifications include a Master’s degree, 5 years of IC experience, leadership experience in verification and test strategies, cloud development process experience, industry system engineering practices, and strong interpersonal skills.
