CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in related field (Statistics, Math, Computer Science) and 5 years of experience or an advanced degree and 3 years of experience.
Experience reading and writing SAS programming language (or similar such as SQL) with ability to explain to non-technical users as needed.
Strong proficiency in a SAS BI environment including SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner, Base SAS, and MS Excel.
Must exhibit and use good verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail required.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
This position will provide functional business knowledge and technical support to the business unit through developed and ad hoc analysis/reporting, as well as designing and programming new processes/reports. Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for SAS. May instruct end users on efficient coding practices, troubleshooting data errors, and creating custom applications based on requirements given.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for supporting the business unit through the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data using the preferred BI platform.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams on business solutions as directed.
Working knowledge of best practices and how different levels of SAS BI Platforms interact with each other, specifically, metadata server, applications server, and mid-tier servers.
Comfortable being an SME in all aspects relating to data collection and analysis for all internal customers.
Extra hours and weekend work may be required based on workload, problems, and other business needs, sometimes with little prior notice.
