Spur, a digital staffing agency, is looking for hard-working and punctual Custodian Substitutes in the Washington Township School District area for the 2024/2025 school year.
The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to the procedures and guidelines set by the school. They will have prior janitorial or related experience . The primary responsibilities of this position are to ensure school grounds and facilities are maintained in an attractive, sanitary, and clean manner. Candidates must wear slip resistant shoes and adhere to cleaning and chemical safety guidelines by wearing protective gear such as gloves. Candidates must be able to work on an on-call basis.
Duties:
- Ensure that facilities and grounds are maintained in an attractive, clean, orderly manner
- Clean and maintain hard surface floors and carpeting (vacuuming etc)
- Clean and maintain admirative offices and related areas
- Clean and maintain equipment and supplies
- Perform custodial duties before & after special events on weekends/evenings
- Washes windows inside and out as needed
- Clean and maintain restroom and classrooms
- Move furniture on an as needed basis
- The ability to lift or push heavy objects up to 50 lbs. and occasionally 100 lbs..
- Arrive promptly when has an assignment to work
- Assisting with building/grounds security - locking all doors/gates after use and at end of the work day
- Assist in maintaining seasonal grounds work
- Follow all safety procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- Able to pass a criminal history background check
- Ability to comply with written and/or oral instructions
- Pass a Mantoux TB test (tuberculous test)
- High School Diploma/GED
- Complete Sexual Misconduct / Abuse Disclosure
- Precious custodial experience
Compensation
- This position pays $17.00 per hour
- Position schedule will be based on the school’s standard schedule.
- Positions are ON DEMAND (picking up absences when staffed positions are absent)
