Job Description

Job Description

People Architects has been engaged by a rapidly growing, tech-enabled consumer products company to find a visionary, hands-on Creative Director to lead their in-house creative team.

In this role, you’ll own the creative vision for multiple high-growth consumer brands—driving storytelling, brand consistency, and customer experience at scale. You’ll have the freedom to build, lead, and innovate, guiding a team that moves fast, thinks big, and operates like a top-tier internal creative agency.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and inspire a talented in-house creative team while maintaining consistency and excellence across multiple brands.
  • Develop and enforce brand guidelines to ensure visual cohesion and best-in-class creative execution across campaigns, digital, and packaging.
  • Oversee all aspects of creative production; from concept and briefing through design, photo/video shoots, and final approvals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, e-commerce, and performance teams to ensure creative not only looks good but performs.
  • Roll up your sleeves when needed to mentor, teach, or help build when the team needs support.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and drive efficiency in creative workflows without sacrificing quality or originality.
  • Stay ahead of design trends, consumer behavior, and emerging tech to keep the brands fresh, relevant, and competitive.

Who You Are

  • A design-rooted leader who has grown from designer to art director to creative director—fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and comfortable leading by example.
  • A brand guardian who values consistency, storytelling, and the power of cohesive design systems.
  • A mentor and instructor who can brief, guide, and elevate the work of others.
  • An agency-style operator who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
  • A collaborator who partners seamlessly across marketing, strategy, and product teams, balancing creative vision with business impact.
  • A problem-solver who can identify creative noncompliance or inefficiencies and fix them quickly and tactfully.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressive creative leadership in D2C, e-commerce, or consumer brands.
  • Proven experience managing creative teams and processes across digital and print.
  • Deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
  • Portfolio demonstrating exceptional taste, versatility, and measurable impact.
  • Shopify experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or related field preferred.
