This mid-career Contracts role will support various activities for the THAAD FMS contracts organization within Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Business Unit. The selected candidate will be an individual contributor but must be able to succeed with minimal supervision and direction.

MFC is seeking a Staff Contracts Management for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to facilitate leadership support THAAD Program pursuits through contract administration, negotiations, metrics, and future contract planning. The desired candidate will provide contract administration support by reviewing, interpreting, and negotiating contract requirements, contract change impacts, extending and administering IWTAs and requests for proposals/ROMs.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)

Proven experience negotiating and administering a variety of fixed price type (FFP, FPIF) and/or cost type (CPFF, CPIF) contracts

Sound working knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, and other government acquisition regulations

Occasional travel is required.

Must have excellent presentation skills, strong analytical abilities, and be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision

Should be detail oriented and able to work in a virtual team environment

Proven ability to manage routine and unique problems/issues to help develop solutions for multi-million-dollar complex contracts.

The qualified individual must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communications with all internal and external customers and possess excellent business acumen

Desired skills

•Knowledge of Lockheed Martin policies and procedures
•Knowledge of Lockheed Martin's business systems
•Contract drafting experience and experience with various contract types and contracting vehicles
•This individual will have demonstrated abilities to develop customer relationships, provide RFP shaping/analysis and have participated in proposal development and bid strategy
•Familiarity with International Terms and Conditions and Agreements
•Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
•Experience in all aspects of the contract life cycle including contract administration, proposal preparation and close-out
•Candidate should be a proactive self-starter who is detail and teamwork oriented
•Capable of working independently with general supervision
•Experience with Missile Defense Agency and/or THAAD experience

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Colorado Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $91,300 - $175,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $105,000 - $197,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
