Salary: $34.00 - $40.00/hr DOE

JR & Co. is looking for a full-time Roofing Superintendent who is an effective communicator, has an extensive knowledge of commercial roofing, produces quality work, and demonstrates our passion for serving others with integrity, respect, consistency and excellence. The Superintendent will lead a crew through example and service to the team.

Position Overview:  The Superintendent will be on the job sites coordinating schedules & materials, overseeing quality, providing training and support to crews, , problem solving, and tracking project goals/completion. Many projects are Federal Contracts which require additional background screening for site access.

Essential Job Functions:

• Attend pre-construction meeting/pre-job walkthrough
• Set up job site properly to maintain OSHA safety standards and ensure worker safety and compliance
• Schedule materials, equipment, deliveries, and crew assignments
• Proactively problem solve to avoid work impacts and reduce inefficiencies
• Track and communicate project completion percentage
• Work closely with Quality Control, Safety Management, Inspectors, and Manufacturers
• Conduct/participate in weekly project meetings /Submit weekly reports
• Perform final quality inspection walk-through prior to crew demobilization
• Lead, manage, and hold accountable roofing foremen, crew(s), and Subcontractor(s), overseeing accurate recording of time and performance of safety, quality, scope, schedule, and budget.

What do you need to perform this role?

• 5-10 years in commercial roofing industry
• 2 years of leadership/team management experience
• OSHA 30 Hour Training (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment)
• Ability to read and understand architectural plans, shop drawings and specifications
• Time Management--great time management; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Primarily outdoor environments in all types of weather (approximately 90% fieldwork) with minimal indoor office work (approximately 10%)
• Ability to perform elevated work (work on rooftops, heights)
• Frequently lift and carry 50lbs or greater
• Frequent bending, kneeling, walking
