Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for moving raw materials and finished goods to and from production areas to support the manufacturing processes

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Moves materials and products using forklifts and other equipment.
• Sorts and stores inventory.
• Maintains warehouse standards and protocol, ensuring areas are kept clean and organized.
• Conduct inventory counts and maintain inventory records.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to operate and maintain equipment, such as forklifts. Combilift experience required (multidirectional, sideloading, and articulated forklift).

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with teammates and direct reports.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under time constraints and strict deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and willingness to take initiative.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of PC environment and MS Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook and other inventory management software.
  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Education and Experience:

  • High school degree or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 years of previous experience in inventory management, warehouse, or distribution centers.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as reach, climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift
  • Must be able to visually operate office equipment including computers and monitors.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 50 lbs.
