Job Overview

• Set up and operate Horizontal CNC Boring Machine with Fanuc control to bore, drill, mill and tap etc. a wide variety and range of parts.
• Read and interpret prints and make necessary mathematical calculations.
• Write and edit CNC programs.
• Perform fixturing and jig set-up to accommodate CNC machining process.
• Perform tooling offset calculations and adjust program parameters as needed.
• Perform other general machining functions

Qualifications/Requirements

• Set up and operate G & L CNC Horizontal Boring Mill, Fanuc controlled.
• Read and interpret prints and make mathematical calculations.
• Write and edit CNC programs for individual parts and components
• Regrind tools and repair tooling equipment as needed.
• Set-up parts and equipment for multiple centerlines as required.
• Perform minor repair and maintenance on Boring Mill.
• Use hoist to handle and locate parts.
• Use special fixtures as required for securing parts.
• Check work throughout operation, using a variety of measuring instruments to insure conformity to specifications.
• Determine proper feeds and speeds for various operations and materials.
• Ensure that written quality control standards and procedures are strictly adhered to.
• Follow established JOY safety and environmental procedures.
• Ensure all work areas and machinery are kept clean and orderly.
• Other jobs as assigned.
• Ability to use Master Cam software is a plus.
