Position Title: CNC Boring Mill Machinist
New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a CNC Boring Mill Machinist for a direct hire opportunity with a client located in Tulsa, OK.
Pay: $41,142 – $51,667 annually
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Summary:
The CNC Boring Mill Machinist will operate CNC horizontal boring mills (HBMs) in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role requires precision, independence, and a strong understanding of machining processes to produce high-quality parts and support production goals.
Responsibilities:
• Operate CNC boring mills and similar machinery with minimal supervision
• Perform complete machine setup, operation, and inspection
• Interpret blueprints, manuals, and specifications
• Mark materials for accurate machining
• Identify and correct machine malfunctions; report major issues
• Support resolution of complex operational issues
• Use forklifts and lifting devices to move parts safely
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members
• Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• 3–5 years of experience operating CNC HBMs in a heavy manufacturing setting
• Proficiency with Fanuc controls
• Ability to perform complete machine setups independently
• Advanced ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Strong math skills (geometry and algebra)
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, scales)
• Familiarity with tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and machine inserts
