Who is Youth Villages?

Youth Villages is a nonprofit organization striving to help troubled youth and families live successfully. We are a team of 3,400 individuals who've come together across 17 states to change the landscape of child welfare and juvenile justice across the country. Our work involves providing an array of counseling and treatment services to youth with severe emotional and behavioral problems.

Eighty-four percent of those who go through treatment are succeeding two years after leaving our program. These youth are living at home, remaining in school, and are not experiencing trouble with the law.

Responsibilities

(This role can be worked from Bend, Portland, or Salem, Oregon)

Clinical Liaison position is an integral part of ensuring the success of families as a whole. The position provides
assistance to clinical teams in a variety of ways, collaborating to address the families clinical and community
resources needs.

Essential Dutires & Responsibilites

Be the primary Specialist to 2 families at any given time (1/2 the typical Intercept caseload)
• Coordinate with Clinical Supervisor to support training of new staff
• Conduct family assessment which include collecting information about client using interview, case
history, and observation techniques, and appraisal and assessment methods to develop pre-placement
and psychosocial assessments
• Attends weekly group supervision and consultations to convey relevant information to other staff
persons
• Provides coverage for supervisors while in trainings or on vacation
• Support other Specialists including case coverage while they are out of the office.
• Maintain a flexible schedule that is convenient for youth and families, which often result in working
non-traditional hours
• Support successful psychiatric engagement including scheduling, communication, and collecting
records
• Complete family surveys
• Adheres to treatment model philosophy
• Completing all required paperwork as defined by contractual obligation and Youth Villages policy,
procedure, and process

Salary

$75000 - $77000 / year based on education level and clinical license

Qualifications

You can be considered for this position if you meet the following qualifications:


Master's degree is required.

Degrees that can be considered include: social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Other degrees will have to be evaluated further to determine if they meet the qualifications.
Experience working with at-risk youth and/or families in a volunteer, internship, or paid position; clinical experience is preferred
Willingness/desire to maintain an untraditional schedule
Strong writing skills and experience with electronic documentation
Acceptable driving record- Two or fewer moving violations within the past 36 months
