Client Executive – National Security (Navy, Air Force, Joint Commands, IC) Location: Hybrid (US-based, strong preference for DC Metro Area). In-person expectations include periodic visits with customers and to Thunder offices in Tysons Corner. We are expanding our federal practice and seeking a Client Executive to lead growth across National Security accounts — including Navy, Air Force, Combatant Commands, and select Intelligence Community organizations. This role is accountable for building long-term client relationships, capturing opportunities, and positioning Thunder as a trusted partner delivering Salesforce and AWS solutions in support of the mission. Reporting to our Head of Federal, the Client Executive will be hands-on with capture and proposals, while also serving as the long-term relationship owner, coordinating with Thunder\'s delivery teams, and representing the company within the broader National Security ecosystem. Role + Responsibilities Own pipeline and bookings targets for National Security accounts. Build trusted executive relationships with senior military leaders and civilian decision makers. Drive capture strategy, teaming, and proposal execution for major National Security opportunities. Lead or contribute directly to proposal writing, ensuring submissions are compliant, compelling, and aligned to mission needs. Collaborate with Salesforce Public Sector and AWS sellers to co-sell and co-deliver solutions. Work with Thunder's pre-sales/demo team to shape mission-aligned solutions and accelerators. Partner with Thunder's delivery teams to ensure program success and client satisfaction. Represent Thunder at National Security forums, industry events, and customer engagements. Capture customer feedback and mission priorities to inform Thunder's federal offerings. Author points of view and white papers to advance Thunder's thought leadership in the National Security community. Qualifications 8–10+ years in federal capture or business development with Navy, Air Force, Joint Commands, or Intelligence Community. Proven history of winning large, multi-year federal contracts. Established executive relationships across National Security organizations. Familiarity with Salesforce or SaaS/cloud platforms strongly preferred. Understanding of acquisition vehicles (IDIQs, BPAs, OTAs, CSOs). Security clearance (Secret or higher) preferred; ability to obtain required. Bachelor's degree required; Salesforce certifications or advanced degree a plus. U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply. Why Thunder?
