Job Description:
We are looking for a person who possess a thorough understanding of laboratory procedures and can reliably conduct complex analyses with increased independence. Experience with analytical techniques for biologics including HPLC (e.g. SEC, HIC, IEX, or RP) is desired.
Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of complex sample preparation and analytical procedures to quantitatively measure biopharmaceutical compounds for release and stability testing in a GxP environment .
• Provide process development support with fast turnaround to enable clinical material manufacturing. May require occasional off-hours support.
• Work with multiple functional groups to meet business needs.
• Remain flexible and adapt to variety on the job (e.g., effectively handle unexpected situations and changing priorities).
• Set up and maintain analytical instrumentation .
• Train on routine operation, maintenance, and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs and regulatory procedures and guidelines.
• Problem solving, either independently or with assistance pertaining to troubleshooting and/or instrumentation problems.
• Communicate and present analytical results to analytical leads/lab managers.
• Perform work assignments accurately, and in a timely and safe manner.
• Document experimental data appropriately in laboratory documentation system and technical memos.
• Review, interpret, and analyze data for quality and compliance to protocols, methods, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Experience:
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 1+ years).
• Strong communicator, team player, & eager to learn
Skills:
• GMP Documentation
• HPLC, UV vis
• Work independently
• Fast learner
• Detail-oriented
• Compendial testing (e.g. Color, Appearance, Clarity, pH)
• Protein chromatographic separation , icIEF and/or CE-SDS
• Experience with biologics (mAbs, etc.) analytical testing and characterization
Education: •
• B.S. with 1-2 yrs experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
