JOB DESCRIPTIONThe C++ software engineer will focus on our backend server software but there may be opportunities to work throughout our software stack. We are looking for an engineer who is an expert in modern C++, object-oriented programming, and writing robust, well-tested code. Experience in Python, cloud computing, networking, and user interfaces is a plus. This position reports directly to the VP, Software Engineering. It will involve working within our agile team but also requires the ability to solve problems independently.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIESImplement new features
Debug and optimize existing software
Write high-quality, well-documented code
Perform peer code reviews
Write unit tests
BS in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of C++ programming and debugging
Practical experience using C++11 or newer versions
Practical experience with STL, Boost, and Templates
Working knowledge of object-oriented software design and development
Practical experience with creating thorough unit tests
Comfortable with software quality practices such as code reviews
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Excited to work in a fast-paced product-focused organization
Python experience
CMake build experience
Familiarity with sockets and communication protocols
Experience with Qt3D or other 3D visualization tools

Salary Range: 120K - 140K + Equity
