Job Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst III in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role primarily revolves around the analysis of business, engineering, and various data processing issues for application to electronic data processing systems. You will be working in a collaborative environment, focusing on improving existing systems and automating processes where applicable.
Responsibilities: • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to enhance or automate existing systems. • Gather requirements from different business units and translate these requirements to programmers and developers. Lead GIS components of strategic divisional technical projects. Perform data mining and cleaning to convert disparate data into desired format, leverages digital map library in various file types and other various data sets to explain geographic trends and findings. Leverage GIS industry knowledge, analytical expertise, and existing core GPS and telematics to provide insights that enable the field team to optimize their service delivery. • Facilitate consultations with clients to understand their information processing or computation needs. • Monitor and coordinate the computer systems within the organization to enhance compatibility and information sharing. • Conduct in-depth interviews or surveys with workers, observe job performance, or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed. • Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation. • Consult with management to ensure understanding and agreement on system principles. • Expand or modify the system to serve new purposes or improve workflow. • Utilize your knowledge of computer software such as SQL, Python, Java, and Visual Basic to enhance system performance. • Provide support and constructive performance feedback while managing your time effectively.5 years of experience working in a detail oriented capacity regarding computer-based information analysis. 2 years of database experience applying analytics, data science, mathematics, and statistics to find insights in data. Experience working with SQL Server and relational databases, structuring queries. Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS Software is preferred.
