Business Immigration Attorney
Excellent law firm is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Business Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business immigration law, with experience representing corporate clients in various immigration matters. As a Business Immigration Attorney, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal counsel to corporate clients, navigating the complex landscape of business immigration laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for corporate clients on all business immigration matters, including non-immigrant visas, permanent residency applications, and compliance issues.
- Conduct thorough case assessments and develop strategic immigration plans tailored to each client's unique needs and objectives.
- Prepare and file a variety of business immigration petitions and applications, including H-1B, L-1, TN, E-2, EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 visas.
- Provide guidance and training to corporate HR personnel on immigration-related compliance matters, including I-9 verification and E-Verify.
- Stay abreast of changes to immigration laws, regulations, and policies, and advise clients on the potential impact of these changes on their immigration strategies.
- Represent clients in immigration-related audits, investigations, and enforcement actions by government agencies such as USCIS, ICE, and DOL.
- Collaborate with the legal team to develop and implement best practices for streamlining the business immigration process and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client communications, case developments, and billing activities.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where practicing law.
- 1-4 years of experience practicing business immigration law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong knowledge of business immigration laws, regulations, and procedures, including experience with both non-immigrant and immigrant visa categories.
- Experience advising corporate clients on immigration compliance matters, including I-9 verification and E-Verify.
- Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to corporate clients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
