ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: Koopman Lumber operates 12 locations in Massachusetts. We have three full line lumber, hardware, paint, lawn and garden stores in Whitinsville, Uxbridge, and Grafton, MA, one lumber, hardware, paint, and design center in Sharon, MA, a full service paint store in Milford, MA, and lumber yards in Hudson, Andover, Fairhaven, Indian Orchard and Dennis, MA. We also operate two lumber distribution centers servicing the building trade.

POSITION: Box Truck Driver Non CDL

DESCRIPTION:

Currently we have a career opportunity available for a Non CDL Box Truck Driver. We are looking for a safe, courteous driver with a good driving history.

Description: The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting materials to specified destinations. This individual works with others to ensure that the right materials are delivered to the proper locations at the correct times. Specific duties include:

• Possess or be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license
• Complete satisfactory background check
• Completing fuel logs and handing them in daily
• Must be able to lift 125 lbs. with assistance.
• Maintain contact with Yard Dispatcher to receive instructions, resolve problems, or be dispatched to new location.
• Communicate with sales team about any jobsite delivery questions or abnormalities.
• Maintain delivery paperwork according to company and customer requirements.
• Position cleats and load straps around items to secure cargo for transport. Adjust and secure cargo during stops.
• Clean and inspect vehicle daily and ensure all proper fluid levels before each shift. Properly complete pre- and post-trip inspection reports via phone app.
• Keep trucks clean and presentable at all times inside and out, wash and broom out vehicles weekly.
• Operate power gate on vehicle to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
• Assist in loading and unloading truck manually.
• Obtain customer signature and picture for goods delivered via phone app.
• Log goods picked up from job site for return.

• Building materials delivery helpful
• One-year truck driving experience helpful.
