The Role:
Are you passionate about the art of dance and inspiring students to express themselves through movement? The school is seeking an energetic and talented Dance Teacher to join their vibrant team. Teaching students from Early Years to Y6, you will create dynamic lessons that promote creativity, discipline, and confidence. From classical ballet to contemporary dance, you will guide students to explore a wide range of styles and techniques, culminating in captivating performances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver inspiring and engaging Dance lessons across various styles, aligned with the curriculum.
- Prepare students for performances, showcases, and examinations.
- Foster a love for movement, rhythm, and artistic expression.
- Choreograph and direct school productions and dance performances.
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular dance activities and competitions.
- Monitor student progress, providing feedback and support for growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate dance into cross-curricular projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
**Bachelor’s Degree in Dance, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
**A valid teaching qualification.
**Experience teaching dance to Primary students
**Strong understanding of various dance styles and techniques.
**Proven experience in choreography and directing student performances.
**Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
**A passion for inspiring creativity and confidence in students.
