Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Process Transactions: Accept and process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and official checks accurately and efficiently.
Cash Handling: Manage a cash drawer, including balancing it at the start and end of day.
Customer Service: Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner, answer questions about accounts and bank services, and resolve customer issues.
Product Promotion: Inform customers about the bank's various products and services, identifying opportunities to cross-sell or refer them to other departments.
Security and Compliance: Adhere to all banking policies, procedures, and security protocols to protect the bank from fraud and other risks.
Account Maintenance: Assist customers with account maintenance tasks, such as processing check orders, stop payments, and wire transfers.
Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks, which may include answering phones, keeping the lobby tidy, and managing mail.
Required Skills
Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive customer relationships.
Cash Handling & Accuracy: Strong ability to handle cash and perform transactions accurately to avoid discrepancies.
Computer Proficiency: Comfort with banking software, computers, and emerging technologies like tablets and smartphones.
Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive customer information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Teamwork: Ability to perform as a team member, coordinating workflow and contributing to department goals.
Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking and organizational abilities to manage various tasks effectively.
