GovHire is currently seeking seasoned
OPM Background Investigators for our client in Chantilly, VA. The
Background Investigator conducts federal background investigations for the Intelligence Community and the Department of Homeland Security. The Background Investigator prepares reports of investigations in compliance with ICD 704 standards, all laws, and other required federal agency regulations. Additional duties may be assigned.
Geographic Location: Chantilly, VA and Northern Virginia Area Requirements: - U.S. Citizenship.
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of investigations experience at the federal, state, or local level of government Intelligence Community/ICD 704.1 Investigations trained and experienced.
- Successful completion an approved National Training Standards program/course.
- Experience conducting one-on-one subject interviews.
- Personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and satisfactory driving record.
- Willing to travel on temporary duty assignments as needed (by car or plane).
- Successfully pass background checks and all required training.
- Current (within the last 2 years) Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or active Secret level security clearance based on a SSBI and able to obtain required clearance.
Preferred Experience and Education: - Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, National Strategic/Intelligence Studies or a related field.
- Three (3) years within the last ten (10) years of experience conducting background investigations for U.S. Government Security Clearances.
- Completion of an approved OPM investigator training program.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
