Job Summary:
The Bar Back at Arlo Chicago plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the bar and lounge areas. This individual is responsible for providing support to the bartenders and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the bar and lounge. The role requires a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for hospitality and excellent customer service.
Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:
- Ensure all bar and lounge areas are clean and well-stocked
- Stocking the bar with necessary items such as glasses, garnishes, and napkins
- Polishing glassware, cutlery, and other bar supplies
- Clearing tables and resetting them for new guests
- Assisting bartenders in preparing and serving drinks
- Maintaining inventory and informing the appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished
- Communicating with the kitchen to ensure timely delivery of food orders to the bar
- Adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Providing excellent customer service to guests, addressing any concerns or issues promptly
- Following all company policies and procedures
- Any other duties as assigned by the bar manager or supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a bar back or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of basic bartending tools and techniques
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Certification in alcohol safety training preferred
