Audio Engineer

Job Title : Audio Validation Engineer

Location : Chino, CA

Department : Product Development 

We are looking for an Audio Validation Engineer to champion the quality and performance of our cutting-edge audio products. In this pivotal role, you'll lead the validation process for our next-gen electronics, amplifiers, DSPs, and interface modules. From concept to production, your keen eye for detail and technical rigor will ensure every product meets and exceeds our legendary standards-whether in high-end vehicles or home entertainment systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive validation test plans for audio electronics and related hardware
• Build and maintain automated/manual test environments for functional, electrical, thermal, and environmental validation
• Partner with design teams to identify and mitigate potential issues early in development
• Perform regression, stress, EMI/EMC, and durability testing to ensure product longevity and compliance
• Document test results, flag performance gaps, and drive corrective action with cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to uphold quality during pilot and pre-production stages
• Support product certifications including CE, FCC, UL, SAE, and automotive standards
• Manage and maintain validation tools and lab infrastructure

 

Qualifications

 

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field 
• Minimum 3 years in validation, quality assurance, or test engineering
• Hands-on experience testing electronics in automotive, audio, or related sectors
• Proficiency with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, environmental chambers, and automation tools
• Solid understanding of DSPs, amplifiers, processors, and OEM audio integration
• Exceptional documentation, analysis, and troubleshooting skills

Preferred:

• Familiarity with automotive protocols and tools (CAN bus, LIN, Vector, CANalyzer)
• Experience using high-end audio testing systems (Audio Precision, Klippel, etc.)
