We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Assistant Superintendent to join our thriving team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to play a pivotal role in managing construction projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, managing construction plans, and more. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about construction, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and possesses excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Superintendent, your duties will include but not be limited to:

1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle and ensuring it is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
2. Managing and coordinating with subcontractors effectively to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
3. Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
4. Developing and implementing comprehensive project schedules and monitoring progress to keep the project on track.
5. Implementing cost control measures to keep the project within budget.
6. Conducting regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met and safety protocols are followed.
7. Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to identify and resolve any issues.
8. Negotiating contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
9. Providing regular updates and progress reports to senior management.
10. Implementing and maintaining safety standards on the construction site to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in subcontractor management, construction management, contract negotiation, safety compliance, construction planning, site management, construction safety, building codes, cost control, project scheduling, and contract management.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
5. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
6. A deep understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
7. Proficiency in construction software and project management tools.
8. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
