We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Regional Compliance Manager with extensive HUD PBRA experience to join our team. This hybrid position requires candidates to reside within the San Diego Metropolitan area for occasional on-site reporting at our corporate office in Sorrento Valley and travel to mentor on-site associates. The ideal candidate will possess LIHTC and/or HUD designations and have significant experience in affordable housing and property management. Reports to: Director of Affordable Housing Compliance. Key Responsibilities include approving move-in files and reviewing recertification files, signing off on files ensuring accuracy, monitoring storage policies and procedures for compliance files, preparing and submitting reports as required by regulatory and LURA requirements, conducting pre-audit reviews and preparing audit responses, reviewing regulatory agreements and setting up affordable housing documents on-site, monitoring unit set-asides and types, training and mentoring on-site teams, reviewing resyndication files and preparing reports, performing due diligence audits on upcoming acquisitions, participating in company-required training and complying with all standards and regulations, and performing any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned. Education & Certifications: LIHTC and/or HUD Designation(s) strongly preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in affordable housing and multifamily property management with hands-on experience with LIHTC and/or HUD programs required. Skills & Competencies: In-depth knowledge of affordable property management and LIHTC/HUD compliance, strong business writing skills, effective communication abilities, excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and meticulous attention to detail in reviewing files and preparing reports. Job duties include working safely and cooperatively with others, adhering to performance standards despite stressful conditions, communicating effectively and respectfully to ensure exceptional customer service, and following all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies.
