We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to support our industrial security program in support of Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients. The candidate will be a part of a collaborative team responsible for maintaining a compliant security program at WRA.

Position Responsibilities – provide assistance to the FSO for the following: 

  • Manage the WRA industrial security program in compliance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other client-specific requirements.
  • Serve as WRA point of contact with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and client-specific security offices. 
  • Develop and maintain corporate security program to include standard operating procedures, emergency action plans, and standard practices and policies to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of personnel security clearances, including maintaining records database in SIMS, processing documentation for initial and periodic reinvestigations, and providing security indoctrinations and debriefings.
  • Conduct all required in-house training and briefings in support of the industrial security program, including annual refresher, courier briefings, derivative classification training, OPSEC training, and other client-specific training.
  • Maintain and implement Insider Threat Program.
  • Conduct onboarding of new personnel.
  • Manage all aspects of the day-to-day execution of classified work within secure spaces, including development and execution of policy and procedures manuals. 
  • Conduct annual security self-inspections, including documentation and tracking follow up actions.
  • Manage all aspects of periodic inspections by DCSA and client security personnel, including preparation, documentation, and follow-up. 
  • Manage and implement compliant document control procedures, including inventory, marking, and incoming/outgoing classified document transfers.
  • Process incoming and outgoing classified visit requests.
  • Review and prepare DD254s and other contract security documentation and guidance. 
  • Coordinate with WRA ISSM/ISSO to maintain accreditation of information systems.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience working with classified documents and/or working in a classified environment.
  • Experience managing a program or organization and maintaining compliance for security, human resources, or other regulations. 
  • Experience working with personnel file databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working directly with senior-level leadership.
  • Ability to exercise mature judgment and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well alone and as part of a team. 
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance. Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Ability to complete DCSA FSO training within six months of employment.

Qualification Preferences:

  • DCSA FSO training.
  • Strong working knowledge of and experience with NISPOM and DISS. 
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
