Position: Armed Security Officer (On-Call)
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Licenses and Certifications Required: D & G

Job Overview:

Cambridge Security Services is seeking Armed Security Officers for on-call assignments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing professional security services across various locations, ensuring the safety of people, property, and assets. Officers must be available for at least two shifts , which may include first and second, second and third, or third and first.

We guarantee 40 hours per week , with overtime opportunities available based on performance assessments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Clock in and out with the Command Center .
• Notify the Command Center upon arrival and departure from sites.
• Sign in and out keys, radios, phones, equipment, and vehicles .
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after driving company vehicles, reporting damages via Tracktik .
• Maintain patrol vehicles (cleanliness, fueling, and reporting maintenance needs).
• Communicate with officers, supervisors, and the Command Center regarding any incidents.
• Prepare incident reports as required.
• Follow the assigned itinerary and submit it every Monday.
• Complete and submit timesheets with scheduled hours every Monday.
• Cover open shifts when required, responding to call-outs and staying until proper coverage is arranged.
• Maintain a clean, pressed, and professional uniform , setting a positive example for field officers.
• Only carry gear provided by Cambridge Security .
• Submit separate timesheets for each site where duties were performed.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Policies and Guidelines regarding approved gear and ammunition (Memo reference: 2016-FL-001).

Job Requirements:

• Full-Time & Full-Flex Availability – Shifts, schedules, and duties may vary weekly based on operational needs.
• Minimum 3 years of security experience , preferably with military or law enforcement background.
• Valid Security D & G License .
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record .
• Ability to operate personal vehicles when necessary.
• Strong knowledge of security operations and patrol techniques (on foot, vehicle, or golf cart).
• Strong customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Must be detail-oriented , organized , and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
• Proficiency in using cellular devices and computers ; strong typing skills.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations quickly and effectively.
• Must be at least 18 years old .
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass a drug test (except for prescribed medical treatment).
• Must pass an extensive background check , including criminal history, references, employment, education verification, and DMV records.
• If prior military, must provide DD214 discharge document indicating discharge status.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Work may take place indoors and outdoors in various conditions.
• Requires driving, walking, and standing for extended periods .
• Uniforms and gear will be provided for appropriate environments .
• Physical activity includes some bending and light lifting .

Assignments will be between Lake Worth, FL, and Fort Pierce, FL , based on operational needs.
