Job Summary

We are currently seeking a candidate to join our Business Development team responsible for the San Francisco Bay Area territory.This will be a home-based work position. The qualified candidates will interact with clients to introduce our products and services. With support from our technical teams these individuals will also provide customized solutions to our clients. You will be part of an exciting international team.

Key Responsibilities

• Expand client relationships and identify new clients to establish business relationships
• Present products and services to potential customers with an emphasis on preclinical research services
• Provide feedback on market needs, trends, competitive landscape and new business opportunities to the rest of the company
• Advocate for genetically engineered mouse models and their value to biomedical research
• Represent GemPharmatech’s core value reliably.

Key Requirements and Qualifications

·Degree or equivalent experience in the life sciences required. Knowledge and experience with preclinical mouse model experience desired. Drug discovery knowledge, biopharma CRO and relevant business experience required. At least 5 years’ experience selling to pharma and biotech preferred. Experience in in vivo pharmacology preferred.

·Masterful selling skills that result in strong, trusting customer relationships

• Highly effective at overcoming obstacles with strong interpersonal communication skills
• Skilled in conducting business and sales presentations with scientific rigor
• Excellent scientific writing and analytical skills
• Ability to travel in the US and internationally with expected travel time of 25% or more
• Multilingual is an asset
• Passionate about biomedical research, enjoy working in a start-up environment and is self-motivated
• Sensitive to social, economic and cultural differences.

Compensation and Benefits

· Commensurate with experience, $120K-150K base salary, with a competitive commission plan
