Description Leidos has a potential upcoming opportunity for an Arabic Linguist at Offutt AFB in Omaha, NE. This position is part of a large program supporting Air Combat Command’s (ACC) Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission. Candidates must currently possess a TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The Arabic Linguist with translation, research, and analytic skills. The linguist’s responsibilities include:Provide written translation of technical and non-technical dataWrite gists and summaries of materialsConduct open source researchWrite reports in EnglishRespond to requests for informationBASIC QUALIFICATIONSRequires a current DoD TS/SCI with ability to obtain a polygraph. Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or Associate's and 10+ years of relevant experience. (Experience may considered in lieu of degree)The ideal candidate will meet the minimum language proficiency requirements (within the past 12 months) as defined by the Interagency Language Roundtable scaleProviding written translations of technical and non-technical material using correct syntax and expression from the native language to English.Conducting open source research and compiling research findings into comprehensive reports in support of specific intelligence requirements.Providing the cultural, social, and ethnic context of translations and be able to convey this information in a written format which may include gisting or screening of the total content.Working cooperatively as a team memberWorking independently with minimal or no oversightMust have good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with personnel from diverse cultures.
