Job Title: Tailor

Responsibilities:

• Construct, alter, and repair garments : Tailors create custom clothing and modify existing garments to meet customer needs.
• Take measurements : Accurately measure clients to ensure proper fit and comfort.
• Consult with clients : Discuss design preferences, fabric choices, and alteration requirements to meet customer expectations.
• Sewing and finishing : Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to complete garments, including attaching zippers, buttons, and other fasteners.
• Quality control : Inspect finished garments for quality and fit, making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain work area : Keep the workspace organized and clean, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a tailor : Previous work experience in tailoring or a related field is preferred.
• Sewing skills : Proficient in both hand and machine sewing techniques.
• Attention to detail : Strong focus on precision and quality in garment construction and alterations.
• Customer service skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients.
• Knowledge of fabrics : Familiarity with different types of fabrics and their properties.
• Problem-solving skills : Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to garment fitting and construction.
