Skilled Trades Services is currently looking for Agricultural Mechanics for the Green Bay/ Kaukauna area. Must be able to start ASAP. Must have Agricultural Experience.
Job Title: Service Technician
Reports to: Service Manager or Lead Technician
General Purpose of Position: We provide service to the agricultural community. Tasks vary day to day and job to job. We provide the equipment and manpower to install, repair and service the equipment we sell to keep the farms running and customer happy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
· In this role you will also layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to install
· Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential
· Responsible for adherence to all safety practices
· Work under the direction of the Lead Service Technician or Service Manager
· Other duties may be assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
· A strong work ethic
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
· The ability to communicate with customers and coworkers is critical
· Willingness to work in agricultural environment
· Ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs.
· Understanding of basic hand tools and construction equipment
· Understanding of basic equipment maintenance
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
· Mechanical aptitude
· Motivation and willingness to learn new skills
· Motivation and willingness to learn new products
· Customer service focused
· Basic silo unloader knowledge a plus, but not required
Education and/or Experience Required:
· Valid Drivers License with good driving record, CDL incentives offered
· Knowledge of basic repair and installation procedures
· Basic welding is helpful, but not required
Other Information:
· Full time, 40 to 60 hours per week.
· Company transportation provided from shop to jobsites.
· Pay is negotiable with experience and skills.
