Agriculture Equipment Mechanic

Full-time benefits eligibility

Position Summary:

The Agriculture Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a wide range of agricultural machinery. This role ensures that all equipment is in optimal working condition to ensure the customer may use their equipment in full working order in a timely manner.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Diagnosis, recondition and repair of equipment and components
• Participates in company-sponsored training programs for the development of skills and knowledge
• Maintains current knowledge of Kioti and competitive products
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and efficient fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments and warranties
• Accounts for all time on a timecard and for all material used in performing work assignments
• Completes training assigned by manager
• Any additional duties related to the service department assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Good mechanical skills; good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions, including but not limited to Diesel engine systems, hydraulic and electrical
• Strong diagnostic skills and understanding on how to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work as a team member
• Computer skills in data entry, basic navigation and Internet
• Able to determine causes of operating errors and find solutions
• Knowledge of workplace safety when operating equipment and handling tools
• Great time management skills

Credentials and Experience:

• Technical school certification or equivalent work experience
• Previous Agriculture equipment technician experience required

Physical Demands

• Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs
• Required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work
• May be required to stand, walk and use hands-fingers for long periods of time
• Regularly work near moving mechanical parts
• Noise level is generally loud
